Emma's Story

I am so lucky. In my work, I meet women of all sizes, shapes and ages and they come to me for many different reasons.
Emma is a young ballerina dancing in NYC. She is an incredibly determined and hardworking young woman who also recently started modelling.
It was my luck when she approached me, wanting a portrait session. I knew, that I wanted to use her background as a ballerina but I had no way of knowing that our session was going to end as amazingly as it did.

With me as the makeup and hair magician I had the amazing Kelsey from Haus of Pretty . She did such a stunning job with making Emma look so incredibly beautiful for her portraits. Emma had brought with her a bunch of different gowns that was absolutely stunning, one of them a golden dress perfect for a Great Gatsby theme, so we knew we wanted to style her in 20's splendor for some of the looks. She had also brought two different ballet costumes made by Nicole Roque (Professional Tutu and Costume Design) and one of them I absolutely fell in love with. When Emma put it on after Kelsey had styled the most amazing curls on her, I was completely brought back to the time of the Elizabethan Golden era. She looked like a portrait painted by one of the great renaissance painters and I was utterly captivated. When we were done, I knew, that I had captured some of my new favorite portraits ever.

Watch the video of her transformation below.
